OTIS SMS PRIVACY NOTICE

At Otis we value your privacy and make every effort to protect the personal information entrusted to us. In line with this commitment, we have established the following policy for the use of our SMS marketing services. Please read it carefully:

COLLECTION OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION (TO SUPPORT SMS COMMUNICATIONS)

Otis shall collect from its customers, customer name, customer contact, your building information, elevator unit under contract, and your cell phone number. We may collect your information from your employer through the contracting process, we may collect your information directly from you when you contact OtisLine™, you will be asked to confirm your willingness to receive text messages from Otis.

USE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION (IN OUR SMS SYSTEM)

Your phone numbers are primarily used to provide you with personalized service updates. These text messages may relate to the status of your elevator, escalator or moving walkway services, for example: information about the status of a work order, details such as date and time of an appointment, the name of the dispatched mechanic and estimated arrival times.

POTENTIAL CHARGES

Please note that SMS messaging charges may be applied by your carrier. Otis is not responsible for these charges.

OPTING OUT

If at any time you wish to stop receiving marketing SMS from us, you can opt out by simply replying to any SMS text from Otis with one of the following commands: STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, OPT-OUT, UNSUBSCRIBE.

Note: our opt-out process may take up to 5 business days to become effective, we ask for your patience during this time.

PRIVACY OF PHONE NUMBERS

Once you have opted out, we will not send you any more SMS messages (unless or until you opt back in), nor will we transfer your information to a third party. We will, however, retain your number in our do not contact list, so that we can be sure to exclude your number from future SMS messages.

ACCESS TO OUR MARKETING MATERIALS

We may send you information about Otis offerings, modernization opportunities, upgrades or repairs specific to your equipment. You do not need to sign up for SMS Messages to receive information about Otis or to view our marketing materials or product offerings. You can find those on our website www.otis.com

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Otis may periodically update this policy. In that event of a material change to this policy, employees and customers for whom Otis is using SMS communications will be notified either by a post to our website, email or an SMS message.

SMS FOR EMPLOYEES

Otis Mechanics and Field Personnel will receive text messages on their OTIS issued devices in order to inform them of a scheduled service appointment and to provide information that they need to carry out their work.
